LEOMINSTER---Dorothy M. “Aunt Dot” (Kelly) Kron, 91 years old of Leominster, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Sterling Village. She is survived by her nephews & nieces James J. Kelly, Jr. and his wife Debbie, Mary L. Richards and her husband Peter, Peggy H. Kelly McCrillis, and Michael A. Kelly and his wife Mellanie all of Leominster. A sister-in-law Magda Fisher and nephews & nieces Peter Ashley and his wife Ronette, Yvonne Ronsen and her husband Michael, and Andrew Fisher and his wife Michelle of Australia along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Laszlo Kron, brother James J. Kelly, Sr., sister-in-law Mary F. Kelly & niece Rosanne M. Hoff.
Dorothy was born in Auburndale on March 10, 1927, daughter of James P. and Mary T. (Hayes) Kelly and had lived in Ayer before moving to Leominster in 1994. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Newton, Framingham Teachers College, and received two Master’s Degrees from Boston University. Dorothy had been the school psychologist for the Town of Ayer. She was a member of St. Anna Parish in Leominster. She loved reading, traveling, cooking, gardening and shopping.
Dorothy’s funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5th from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a Mass at 11 am in St. Anna Parish, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the funeral home.
