Obituary

FITCHBURG- Earl O. Contois, 89, of Fitchburg, died January 1, at Leominster Hospital.

Earl was born October 19, 1933, in Leominster, son of the late Albert R. and the late Irene A. (Bashaw) Contois. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1952 and lived in Leominster until 1960 when he moved to Fitchburg. Earl worked for the city of Fitchburg at Forest Hill Cemetery.

His wife of 66 years, Lorraine T. (Desilets) Contois, died in 2020. He was also predeceased by his brother, Richard Contois and his sister, Claire Rafuse.

He leaves his son, Brian Contois and wife Marcella of Hubbardston; four grandchildren, Kelsey M. Contois, Kelly R. Contois, Todd J. Contois and Troy Ferebee, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held Tuesday, January 10, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. The burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
