Eliane Desire

Leominster- Eliane Desire, 104 years old, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 29th. Eliane was born March 5, 1920, in Jacmel, Haiti, daughter of the late Leonce Desire and Lusane Francois. She worked as a merchant and a homemaker raising six children.

She was a member of the Elim Fellowship Church in Fitchburg. She enjoyed spending time with family. She showed her love of family with cooking and keeping the house in order. The beautiful sound of her singing will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Civil and children, Lucien Civil, Prosper Civil and Marie Carole Civil.

She leaves her children, Hourdy Civil and his wife, Kristie Dessaint, Serge Civil, Marie Civil and her husband, Eddy Joseph; grandchildren, Angel, Niki and Ruth Princess, Joseph, Daphka and husband, Nacheline and husband, Herby and wife, Richard, Evens, Judith, Fernand, Myrlande, Jocelene, Ethens, Yanick and Carline Civil; great grandchildren, Micaline, Claudia, Fernando and Bebe Civil; brothers, Jean-Louis Derisme and Berno Desire; cousins, Joceline Benoit, Josie, Eric, Destin, Jeanne, Florence and Leandre; nieces and nephews, Jean-Robert Derisme & family, Jean-Claude Derisme & family, Louvens, Manoucheca, Edwidge, Monique Derisme & family, Franky and Martine Desire, and Marlene Derisme & family; close friends, Rose and Sanel Mauricette & family and Junie and family.

The funeral service for Eliane will be held Saturday, November 9th, at 10:00 A.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Leominster. Reverence Arthur Demosthenes will officiate.
