Elizabeth Mogé Obituary

Leominster - Elizabeth Ann (Stocking) Mogé, age 87, known affectionately as Betty Ann or Beanie, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester surrounded by her family.

She was born September 30, 1938, in Darby, PA, the daughter of the late Margaret (Murphy) and Roderick Preston Stocking, Sr. She spent the majority of her life in Fitchburg, with the past ten years lovingly cared for in the home of Mark and Patricia Mogé and their family.

Early on, Betty worked in the Fitchburg City Clerk’s office where she met her dear friends Ann McInerney, Mary Murchie, and Marion Madonia. She then lovingly raised her three children before embarking on a long career in the medical offices of North County Urology; most notably for Dr. Albert M. Pearson, and later Dr. Jeffrey Dann.

In her private life, Betty loved social gatherings; from family parties to fundraising events with friends. She loved to be out on the dance floor. Her positive, fun-loving spirit will be remembered most. She also took great pride in her alma mater, St. Bernard’s High School, spending many years helping to plan reunions for the class of ’56.

She always enjoyed time with her family, taking her mother to dinner at Slattery’s, taking a trip to the mall with her sisters, holding family birthday parties at her pool, and hosting the annual Christmas Eve celebration which always included a visit from Santa. Her many nieces and nephews always held a special place in Auntie Beanie’s heart.

Betty loved the beach. She spent summer vacations at Hampton with her lifelong friends, the Boudreau’s and Palermo’s, and their families. This was the highlight of our summers for over 40 years. Later she enjoyed exploring the beaches of Cape Cod with her children, her sister Susan, and brother-in-law Ralph. After retirement, she took many trips abroad, including a special trip to Ireland with her sister Helen.

Betty had a deep love for her dogs, fostered by her dear friend Patricia Gagne who gifted her many pets over the years. She also enjoyed the company of her son’s dog Ferris.

Her deepest love was for our Lord Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Camillus de Lellis and St. Bernard Parish, both of Fitchburg.

She is survived by her children Susan Flynn, Christopher Mogé and his partner Christina Raisdanaee, and Mark Mogé and his wife Patricia (Dellogono). She leaves her beloved grandchildren Meghan (Flynn) and her husband Steven Curtis, Quinn Mogé and Bina Raisdanaee, and Carter and Ani Mogé. She also leaves her great grandson Rory Curtis and his soon-to-be little sister.

She is fondly remembered by her former husband Warren Mogé, her brother-in-law Ralph Secino, sister-in-law Corrine Stocking, and a long list of nieces, nephews, and their families. She will be dearly missed by her best friend Carol Boudreau, and her longtime friend and hairdresser Anne Bergeron.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Helen Ambrose, Roderick P. Stocking, Jr., Margaret Girouard, Robert P. Stocking, Sr., and Susan Secino.

The family would like to thank St. Vincent Hospital and the Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester for their exceptional care.

Services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation to St. Bernard’s High School in her name. Information is available via their website.
