LEOMINSTER --- Estelle C. (Bessette) Cuddahy, 88 years old of Leominster, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Highlands in Fitchburg.
Estelle was born December 29, 1929 in Glover, Vermont, the daughter of Dorea and Eva (Soucy) Bessette. She leaves her daughter Colleen A. Cuddahy of Leominster, 2 sons Thomas M. Cuddahy and his wife Debra of Lunenburg and Michael J. Cuddahy and his wife Rebecca of Leominster, her sister Mae Haney of Lunenburg, 5 grandchildren, Hannah Tumber and her husband Joe, John Cuddahy, Ryan Cuddahy, Tyler Cuddahy and Kyle Cuddahy. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, John T. Cuddahy in 1998, 2 brothers, Orient Bessette and Maurice Bessette, and 3 sisters, Doris David, Gertrude Montaquila, and Gisele Nault.
Estelle was a member of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1943, and worked as a secretary for many years at Boston Mutual. She enjoyed playing cards with the girls and vacationing in Vermont every year.
Estelle’s funeral will be held on Friday, February 16th from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home,106 West St., Leominster, with a 10 am funeral mass in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday evening, February 15th, from 5 pm - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to NEADS, 305 Redemption Rock Trail, Princeton, MA 01541.
