FITCHBURG ---- Euclide J. Joyal Sr. passed away Saturday September 11, 2021 at Leominster Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Leominster May 22, 1933 the son of Euclide Joyal and Edna (Gauthier) Letarte both are now deceased, and had lived in Leominster for many years before moving to Fitchburg.
He worked for many years at various chemical companies. For three years he and his wife owned and operated Joyal’s Coffee Shop on Nashua Street in Leominster.
He was a member of the former Moose Lodge in Leominster, and a Lifetime member of the Templeton Fish and Game Club. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Euclide was also a US Army Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia A (Rogers) Joyal; his five children, Doreen Arbo, Karen Richardson, Euclide Joyal Jr, Susan Graham, and Steven Joyal, seven grandchildren, Greg, E.J, Liz, Lisa, John, Justin and Dawn, and seven great grandchildren John III, Zoey, Jake, Roman, Jackson, Kyle and Julian. He was so proud of all of them.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his stepfather, Maurice Letarte and his three sisters, Cecile Scachetti, Olive Martin and Annavieve Trombley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Richardson Funeral Home 106 West Street Leominster, with calling hours from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
