LEOMINSTER: Eunice “Eunie” (Aston) Anderson, 97, of Leominster, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family Monday night, January 10, 2022. 

She was born in Leominster November 19, 1924 to Samuel and Daisy (Taylor) (Such) Aston and lived here all of her life.

Eunie married Rolf E. “Butch” Anderson September 9, 1950, spending 54 years together until his passing October 17, 2004. 

She was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where for many years she ran the candy and jewelry table at the annual Christmas bazaar. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 151, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Leominster Senior Center. Her hobbies included knitting for family, friends and charity, cake decorating and gardening. 

Eunie is survived by her daughter Gail K. Bashaw-Cunningham; son in-law Ronald J. Theriault; 4 grandchildren, Heather K. Bashaw, Holly K. Ford and her husband Raymond L. Jr., William E. Bashaw Jr. and his wife Heather L. all of Leominster and Andrew J. Theriault and his fiancé Pedro “Peter” Garcia of Maryland. She also leaves 7 great-grandchildren; Alexis and Jacob of Virginia and Emily, Brandon, Gabriel, Haylee and Madison all of Leominster. Also, her sister Betsy Reardon of Sterling; nieces, nephews and dear friends.  

To her grandchildren’s friends she was affectionately known as “Grammy Eunie” and loved being a bonus grandmother to any that needed or just wanted one. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by her daughter, Martha J. Theriault June 17, 2014; her brother Jack Such (2011) and three sisters; Doreen (Such) Conrey (1989), Barbara Aston (2004) and Marjorie (Aston) Roche (2007).
