Florence M. (Moretto) Murphy

Florence M. (Moretto) Murphy passed away on July 2, 2025 after an illness.

Florence was born on August 7, 1928 in Fitchburg, MA to John and Teresa (Botazzi) Moretto who immigrated from Rosa and Piconza in Northern Italy. Florence was educated in the Fitchburg school system and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1946.

Florence was preceded in death by her eight siblings: Emily Moretto, Malvina Rush, Bianca Fava, Maria Bates, Paul Moretto, Alex Moretto, Albino Moretto and Enzo Moretto.

Florence worked at Victory Bitton/Tamor Plastics in Leominster from 1975-2001. On September 4, 1948 Florence married William J. Murphy who passed away in 1980. Their daughter Carol A. Murphy also passed away on May 14, 1980.

Florence is survived by her son Timothy J. Murphy and his wife Kristie Murphy, her granddaughter Melissa LaRoche and her husband Marc LaRoche along with her great grandsons Toby, Tyler and Tanner LaRoche. Also, her granddaughter Kelli Robinson and her husband Steven Robinson along with her great grandson Blake Robinson and great granddaughter Giada Robinson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.
