Francis "Farnsy" J. Farnsworth

Francis “Farnsy” J. Farnsworth, 75 years old of Leominster, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Francis was born in Leominster on April 2, 1947 and was the beloved son of the late Francis C. Farnsworth and Valentina M. (Pascarelli) Farnsworth. 

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Diane K. (Bangrazi) Farnsworth, of 43 years. He is also survived by his sons Ryan J. Farnsworth of Winter Park FL and Ross A. Farnsworth, his wife Felicia (Freel) Farnsworth and two grandchildren Max and Wes Farnsworth of Leominster MA.

Francis was predeceased by his younger siblings, Richard C. Farnsworth and Pearl M. Farnsworth.

Farnsy was a well-known and lifelong Leominster resident. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1965 and was drafted into the Army shortly after graduation. Upon his return from the Army, he worked as a bartender at the Tankard and Eagles, before starting a career in the auto parts industry. After retiring in 2010, he enjoyed many hobbies including spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He loved cooking, traveling, spending time at his home in Florida, cruising, being with his favorite grand dog Vince, long Sunday drives in his corvette and relaxing by the pool soaking up the sun with a cold drink in his hand His two grandsons, Max and Wes quickly became his pride and joy. He loved being their “Grampy”. Playing cars and monster trucks, making cookies and reading books to them were some of his favorite things to do with them. Farnsy had an amazing sense of humor, could light up the room with his smile and laugh. He was a kind and generous man. To know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 30 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St, Leominster, MA. Burial will be at a later date. In honor of the Easter Season please omit flowers.
