Geraldine C. Tocci Pellegrini, age 95, life resident of Leominster, MA, daughter of Antonia (Marini) and Gerardo Tocci, took her last journey on September 5, 2024 in the pre-dawn of that fine late summer day at Sterling Village. She leaves behind aching hearts and a million fond memories.
After 16 years of a loving marriage Geraldine became a single mom when she lost her husband, Armando Pellegrini. Her three daughters, Donna Halloran (Robert), Cathie P. Paine (Alex), and Doreen Miley (David) lovingly stood by their mom throughout her long life. “Grammy” was totally devoted to her eight grandchildren, Sarah, Andrew, Cassandra, Johanna, Louisa, Nathan, Jacob, and Moriah, who all remember spirited sleepovers at Grammy’s home.
Great Grammy’s love continued unabated as 12 great grandchildren, Emma, Liam, Edin, Grayson, Clara, Brayden, Aviana, Ella, Antonia, Aria, Alina, and Marina joined her family.
As well as being an exceptional wife and mom, Geraldine’s career path started in cosmetology and then she joined the corporate world in key accounting positions at Plastic Academy and Tucker Housewares. As a life-long learner she took many courses to stay current with fast-paced technology; she was worthy of earning a computer science or even an engineering degree. After retiring from Tucker she was instrumental in developing Creative Choices, a before and after school program for Leominster, where all the kids affectionately called her “Mrs. G.”
Besides her professional endeavors, Geraldine was a dedicated member of the Saint Anna’s Society and she was supportive in the efforts to get Lassie League established for young girls. She enjoyed spear-heading house projects and improvements, cooking elaborate Italian meals, especially for her open house every year on Christmas Eve, and lively card games with her dear friends.
An avid reader, you could always count on having in-depth conversations with Geraldine, covering an array of subjects. She was certainly a woman before her time, constantly challenging norms and looking for fresh solutions to world problems. Her focus was always on the future and how it would affect the children. She had an open mind, was never judgmental, and was spiritual in how she lived her long life.
Funeral services will be private.
