Leominster- Gertrude Blanche LeBlanc, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 9, 2022 at Wachusett Manor in Gardner where she received excellent care.
Born on August 27, 1936, in Richibucto, New Brunswick, Canada, Gertrude was the devoted daughter of Donat and Marie Anne (nee Richard) Vautour.
She was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Church. Gertrude will be lovingly remembered by sons, Robert LeBlanc and partner Noreen Beresh of Leominster and Sean LeBlanc and wife Kara of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Anne M. Booth of Gardner, Deborah LeBlanc of Weymouth and Patricia Johnson of Richibucto, NB, siblings, a sister Laurieanna Wilkes of Richibucto, NB, Reginald Vautour of Alberta, Maurice Vautour of Ashburnham, Louis Vautour and his wife Joan of Riverside, NB, nine grandchildren, Crystal, Christopher, Kasey, Nicholas, Michael, Jason, Jeremy, Daniel, Abby, Ellie Gertrude and Lyle, as well as seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Paul J. LeBlanc in 1970 and brothers Robert, Ronnie, and Joseph (Pete) Vautour.
Gertrude loved her tea, dogs, flowers in her garden, hummingbirds, kitchen gatherings, and cooking for her family.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, November 15, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. The funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster. Burial will be private at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hilarity for Charity, a group that raises awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease
