Worcester- Glenn E. Carter, 65, of Worcester, died Monday, June 20, at UMass after a short illness.
Glenn was born April 15, 1957, in Fitchburg, son of the late John D. and Patricia A. (Duggan) Carter. He grew up in Fitchburg and attended Fitchburg schools. He was a hard worker in many areas including construction, electrical work and pipe laying. Over the years, Glenn has worked for J. E. Morello Construction, Valente Construction and more recently, Golsh Plastics.
Glenn was a proud graduate of Crozier House in Worcester. He was dedicated not only to his sobriety but to helping others in their journey.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Esther Hernandez Ortiz; his children, John D. Carter II and his wife, Aiana, Andrew S. Carter, Melissa Lokko and her husband, Emmanuel and Kait Peabody and her husband, Derek; two grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Carter of Fitchburg and Keith Carter and his wife Una of FL; one sister, Patricia Gruene of TX; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, John J. Carter, Steven Carter and Karen Carter.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 1, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Fitchburg.
