FITCHBURG- Greta M. Vaillette, passed away on February 14, 2024, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington with her family by her side. She was born on June 20, 1970 to Thomas Vaillette and Karen (Leger) Vaillette.
Greta was predeceased by her father Thomas Vaillette and her aunt Doreen (Vaillette) Rinehardt.
Greta is survived by her mother, Karen, her brother David Vaillette and his wife Rachel Ardinger. She is also survived by her Uncle Dick Vaillette and his wife Sheryl (Leonard). Greta is also remembered with lots of love by her favorite nibling, Teddy Vaillette.
Greta lived in Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1988. She worked in accounting and billing & receiving for most of her career.
Greta enjoyed collecting DC Comics and had a particular love of Wonder Woman. Greta was an avid crafter and enjoyed sharing her talents through her hobbies of letterboxing and ceramics. She was an enthusiastic Renaissance Faire attendee. She loved collecting garb and other accoutrements of the Renaissance period. Greta loved camping and spent many summers grateful for her letterboxing friends.
Later in life, after conquering her allergy of cats, Greta became a dedicated cat mom, first fostering, Oocla and Nikita, and then adopting Willow and then River. Through her passions Greta became widely known and loved. Her memory will be cherished by all of the lives she touched.
Services will be held on Monday February 19, 2024 with calling hours from 4-6 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster, followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue, 273 Central St. Winchendon, MA 01475.
