Hadley Juliet Boucher, affectionately known as “Haddie B.,” passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, after a courageous battle with DIPG, an inoperable brain tumor. Born on September 5, 2018, in Leominster, Massachusetts, Hadley filled every room she entered with light, laughter, and love. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made on the lives around her will last forever.
Hadley was the kind of child who brought people together without even trying. Her smile made strangers feel like friends, her kindness made others feel seen, and her joyful spirit created warmth wherever she went. She had a heart far bigger than her seven years and loved deeply, freely, and without hesitation. To know Hadley was to love her.
A proud first grader at Lunenburg Primary School, Hadley was adored by her classmates, teachers, and community. She approached life with bravery, curiosity, and a sweetness that touched everyone around her. Whether she was playing dek hockey and basketball, cheering loudly for the Boston Bruins and Red Sox, or laughing with her friends, Hadley embraced every moment with pure joy and enthusiasm.
Above all else, Hadley loved her family. Her greatest joy was being a little sister to Olivia and Peyton, who were not only her siblings, but also her role models, best friends, and constant companions. The bond they shared was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts.
Hadley also had a special love for animals, especially her beloved pups Mack, Harley, and Cooper. She loved swimming in Buppa’s pool, listening to Morgan Wallen, going to the beach, making arts and crafts, coloring for hours, and leaving thoughtful notes and drawings for the people she loved. Even in the smallest moments, Hadley found ways to make others smile. Her gentle and caring soul was reflected in everything she did.
Throughout her illness, Hadley showed a level of courage and strength that inspired an entire community. She faced each day with resilience, grace, and an unwavering spirit that brought people together in love, prayer, and support. Even in her hardest moments, she continued to shine brightly, teaching everyone around her what true bravery looks like. Her journey touched countless lives far beyond those who knew her personally, and her legacy of hope, kindness, and love will never be forgotten.
Hadley is survived by her loving parents, Derek and Alyssa Boucher, and her devoted big sisters, Olivia and Peyton. She also leaves behind her grandparents, David and Donna DiBenedetto; Paul Boucher and his wife, Deborah Avery Boucher; and Deborah Boucher and her partner, Mark Boyce. She is lovingly remembered by her aunt and uncle Michael and Danielle DiBenedetto; her aunt Danielle “Missy” DiBenedetto; her aunt and uncle Bobby and Kelsea McAllister; and her aunt and uncle Bjorn and Taylor Kapstad. She also leaves behind her great-grandmothers, Mary Lou Condon and Rita Hill; her cousins Leo and Sienna DiBenedetto, Julia and Claire McAllister; and her soon-to-be baby Kapstad cousin, who will grow up hearing stories about Haddie’s beautiful spirit, contagious smile, and loving heart, coming to know and love her through the countless memories shared by those who cherished her so deeply. She is also survived by countless extended family members, friends, classmates, teammates, and supporters who loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents John Condon, Victor and Aili DiBenedetto, Adelin and Florida Boucher, and Daniel Hill.
Although Hadley’s life on earth was brief, her love was enormous. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, joy, and togetherness that will continue to live on through every person she touched. Her laughter will echo in treasured memories, her spirit will live on in acts of kindness, and her love will forever surround those who were blessed to know her.
