Fitchburg--Heather Lynne McDermott, 30, of Fitchburg, died Sunday, December 17.
Heather was born in Gardner on November 14, 1993, daughter of James and Brenda (Marien) McDermott. She graduated from Monty Tech in 2012 and began her career in cosmetology.
Heather enjoyed watching old movies, karaoke, a member of the A-24 Club, and was very artistic. An animal lover, and film fanatic, she was always looking to care for others and slow down to enjoy the little things. Heather never missed an opportunity to have a new experience and find the positive in it (even if it wasn’t her cup of tea). She enjoyed life to the fullest and had a big heart, she was always positive and a very giving person. Heather was more than could be put on paper. Her vibrant, affectionate nature made her magnetic to anyone who crossed paths with her. When you think of Heather, thoughts of unconditional love, a wild sense of humor, and beauty should be the first to come to mind. She will be sincerely missed and idolized to all that were lucky enough to know her.
Heather was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Robert D. and Diane B. (Brousseau) Marien, paternal grandparents, Paul and Joan McDermott, as well as many aunts and uncles.
Services will be private.
