Helen M. (Rodriquenz) Seretto, 95, passed away surrounded by her beloved family on September 3, 2022, after a brief illness. Helen was born on April 2, 1927, in Fitchburg. She is predeceased by her daughter, Debra A. Seretto; her son, Michael A. Seretto; husband, Angelo J. Seretto; as well as brothers and sisters.
Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law Diane L. (Goodale) Seretto of Leominster, her granddaughters; Alessandra (Seretto) Chryst and her husband James, Cristina (Seretto) DiVito and her husband Peter, her grandsons; Niccolo Seretto and his wife Kerry, and Vincenzo Seretto, along with 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom she loved beyond measure.
Helen was a dedicated, long-time employee of Digital Equipment Corporation and enjoyed retirement as a bus monitor for Laidlaw Bus Company.
She had a passion for shopping and fashion. She could be found chatting up any retail specialist she met along her way, always looking for the ultimate bargain. Holidays were spent gathered around her dining room table; she loved spoiling her family. Friday nights included a pot of pasta fagioli and “baby” ice cream for dessert. Snacks and Gatorade popsicles were a Summertime staple on the back patio, and who could forget the best pastina “pasta n’ eggy” in town!
She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother “Nona”, and great-grandmother; whose love for her family will never be forgotten.
Calling hours are Friday, September 9, from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster with the funeral Mass following at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Fitchburg.
