LEOMINSTER --- James M. Flanagan 53 years old of Leominster, died Saturday September 10, 2022, at his home.
Jim was born August 6, 1969, in New Rochelle NY, the son of John and Sandra (Potratz) Flanagan. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife Marybeth (Masciangioli) Flanagan, his son, Logan and daughters, Sarah and Jordan all of Leominster, his sister Sharon Rodriquenz and her husband Jack of Lunenburg, and Colleen Flanagan of Ashby. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he adored.
Jim graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1987 and received a bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University where he was a founding member of the TKE fraternity chapter. He was a Facilities Engineer at James River for many years. Upon starting a family, he dedicated his time to raising Sarah, Logan, and Jordan. He learned to play the bagpipes and became a member of the Worcester Kiltie Band for many years. He loved cooking, listening to music with his kids, coaching their teams, lending a hand to his son’s Boy Scout troop, and surrounding himself with family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11am at the United Parish of Lunenburg, 39 Main St. Lunenburg. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 - 11am in the church. A private burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery. Leominster.
