James LeBlanc Obituary

LEOMINSTER --- James (Jimmy) Raymond LeBlanc of Leominster, MA died suddenly on September 30, 2021, at the age of 75. Jim was born in Leominster, MA on January 30, 1946, the son of Raymond and Doris (LaPierre) LeBlanc. Jim graduated from Leominster Trade High School with the Class of ’65. It was there he met and then married his high school sweetheart Carol Person.  They made their home in Leominster, MA while he went back to take evening classes and earning his Associate’s degree from Mount Wachusett Community College.

Jim began his career with Foster Grant as a draftsman in (1965) and that led to a 50-year career in the plastics industry where he was highly respected for his optics expertise.  Jim’s career led to a VP of Engineering position with Fosta-Tek until his 52-year volunteering journey led him to become the Director of Emergency Management in Leominster MA his lifelong passion.

Jim and Carol have been married and would have celebrated their 56th anniversary in October. Jim was active within the Leominster community and enjoyed his family and friends. He was loved and cherished by his family

Jim is survived by his wife Carol Ann (Person) LeBlanc of Leominster; his sons and in-laws Keith LeBlanc and Lori (Gordon) LeBlanc of Leominster, MA; Troy LeBlanc and Breno Bonfim LeBlanc of Leominster, MA; grandchildren Kristen LeBlanc of Leominster, Ashley LeBlanc of Fitchburg, and Nicholas O’Connor of Leominster MA; sister Linda LeBlanc- Kennedy of Lunenburg, MA; brothers and sisters-in-law Alfred LeBlanc and Lisa (Boudreau) LeBlanc of Myrtle Beach, SC; Charles LeBlanc and Kathleen (Barrett) LeBlanc of Ayer, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Jim will be held on Tuesday, October 5th from 5~7pm, at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St. Leominster. Funeral Services and burial are private. Donations in his memory may be made to the Emergency Management Canteen Service, 37 Carter Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
