LEOMINSTER---James Lawrence LeClair, 70 years old of Leominster, formerly of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ellen M. (Rooney) LeClair, son Michael J. LeClair and his wife Shannon of Leominster; daughter Julie M. LeClair of Leominster, daughter Angela Beauvais of Haverhill; grandson Cameron M. LeClair of Leominster; brother Robert T. LeClair of Fitchburg; his twin sister Jane L. Nichols and her husband Ernest of Fitchburg; close friends Alfred “Alfie” Mackenzie of Fitchburg and Michael Kerrigan of Leominster; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Fitchburg on May, 8, 1948, son of Clarence R. and Irene M. (Couture) LeClair and had lived in Fitchburg most of his life, until moving to Leominster 10 years ago. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army. Jim had worked as a baker for Dunkin’ Donuts for many years and most recently worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Fitchburg.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid Bruins, Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox Fan.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 27th from 5-7 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be private.
