James Leo Quinn

James Leo Quinn, 79, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Maynard, Massachusetts, James was the beloved son of the late Francis E. Quinn and Henrietta Kendall Quinn. 

James is survived by his devoted wife, Mary E. Sauler Quinn, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure. Together they built a beautiful blended family and James’s unconditional love and kindness made every member feel cherished as his own. He is lovingly remembered by his children J. Danielle Quinn (Steve), Todd James Quinn (wife Sarah), Melissa Inez Woodall (husband Richard), Scott E. Quinn, Mark Feckley, and Michelle Fenner; his grandchildren Steven, Jason, Andrew, Lauren, Olivia, Caroline, William, David, Rebeka, Alex, Joseph, Emma and Kaylyn and his great grandchildren Isabella, Lilliana, Avery, Alivia, Grayson and Jackson, all of whom were the light of his life.

James is also survived by his brothers Francis E. Quinn, Thomas D. Quinn and Richard J. Quinn, and is preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence W. Quinn and George W. Quinn.

A proud former member of the National Guard, James went on to dedicate many years to auto body work and automobile restoration, where his skill, patience, and eye for perfection were unmatched. He was also a former member of the Homosassa Lions Club, where he gave his time generously conducting eye testing for the Citrus County School District.

James had a remarkable gift for working with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking, especially creating marble games, tables, and chairs for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren – pieces built with love that will be reassured for generations.

He was a life-long Patriots and Red Sox fan who loved friendly competition, playing games, and spending special holidays surrounded by family and friends. Easter was his favorite, as he delighted in hiding eggs and organizing games for everyone to enjoy. James and Mary loved dancing and taking trips to the casino with friends, always filling life with joy, laughter, and connections. He also loved visiting breweries and enjoyed a good bottle of beer, especially his Yuengling, and his favorite color was green.

Those who knew James will remember him as a loving, caring, and patient man – a true family man who always put others before himself. He was a warrior in spirit, giving his best to everyone and everything he did. His warmth, humor, and generosity will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 10 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 6:00 P.M. in Richardson Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor James by spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, and cherishing every moment – just as he did.
