Jane Sullivan Obituary

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, Jane L. Sullivan, 74, passed away surrounded by the love of her family after complications from a brief illness. Born on March 14, 1951, Jane lived a life rooted in love, strength, and devotion to those she cherished most.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 47 years, Daniel Sullivan of Gardner, and her beloved daughter, Melanie Mobley, and her husband Doug Mobley of Leominster. Jane was the proud grandmother of Kayla Mobley of San Antonio, TX; Devan Mobley and her fiancé Kevin Chabot of Leominster; and Cassidy Mobley and Emma Mobley, also of Leominster. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she was immensely proud of the strong, kind young women they have become.

Jane is also survived by her sister, Gail Creed, and her husband Bob Creed of Leominster; her brother, Michael Glasheen, and his wife Judy Glasheen of Racine, WI; and her sisters-in-law, Deborah Sullivan of Lowell and Noella Sullivan of Lowell. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends whom she cared for deeply.

She was predeceased by her parents, L. Norman Glasheen and Theresa (Malo) Glasheen of Leominster, and her brother-in-law Patrick Sullivan of Lowell.

Early in her career, Jane worked as an administrative assistant at Digital for 25 years, where she met, and eventually married, the love of her life, Dan. After her time at Digital, she returned to school and began a second career in the medical field. She excelled in caring for others, treating every patient with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. Helping people brought her great joy, and she took immense pride in her work.

Outside of her career, Jane’s creativity flourished. She was a gifted seamstress and ran Lady Jane Design, creating everything from everyday clothing to intricate christening gowns and formal wear. Her artistry extended to many forms—gardening, painting, and crafting vibrant stained-glass pieces that reflected her love of color and beauty. Her talent was boundless, and she brought warmth and creativity into everything she touched. At home, Jane found peace in the simple wonders of nature. She loved watching and feeding the birds around her home—hummingbirds were her favorite—and took great joy in their presence.

Over the past year, Jane fought with remarkable courage, embracing the motto “Sullivan Strong” with every intention of making a full recovery. Though her passing leaves a profound void, she also leaves behind a legacy filled with love, kindness, and creativity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
