LEOMINSTER---Janet (Owens) Such, 94 years old, of Leominster died Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her son Jay O. Such and his wife Ethel of Ashburnham and grandchildren Heather Such of Ashburnham, Aaron Such of Worcester and a great grandchild Devin Resnik of Ashburnham. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Such in 2011, sister Ruth Wiles in 2010 and grandson David Such in 2009.
Janet was born February 20, 1922 in Leominster, daughter of Harvey and Florence (Whitney) Owens and had retired in Florida for 25 years, before returning to Leominster in 2009. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1940 and had been a second generation officer of Boutwell, Owens & Co. in Fitchburg. Janet loved to paint, do crafts, was fond of animals, and loved the beaches of Florida and Maine.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11 am in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.
