LEOMINSTER --- Jean A.(Myrer) Hallett, 90,years old of Leominster, died Monday, February 5, 2018 in the Life Care Center of Leominster.
Jean was born on March 7, 1927 in Fitchburg, and came to Leominster in 1951. She leaves her husband, Allan P. Hallett, 2 daughters, Rebecca Bergeron and husband Alfred of Leominster, and Martha Testagrossa and husband Barry of Winchendon, her sister Linda Bollman of Fort Pierce Florida, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother George Bacon and her sister Marilyn Regan.
Jean was a 1944 graduate of Fitchburg High School. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Leominster, serving on the Altar Guild for many years and was the Sunday School Superintendent. She was employed at the Treasurers Office for the City of Fitchburg, worked as the office manager at the former LuKon Chemical Company in Leominster, and volunteered for many years at Leominster Hospital. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
A funeral service for Jean will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:30 am in St. Marks Episcopal Church, 60 West St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St. Winchendon. There are no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
