Jeanne Louise St. Cyr, 64
LEOMINSTER - Jeanne Louise St. Cyr passed away peacefully on April 7, 2016 at the Keystone Rehabilitation Center in Leominster, MA after a nine-month struggle with Cancer.
Jeanne was born on June 6, 1951, in Fitchburg, MA to Harriett MacMullen St. Cyr and Raymond St. Cyr. Jeanne attended Lunenburg schools, and she graduated from Fitchburg State College with a BS degree in Biology. Jeanne worked at Bristol-Meyers Squibb in Billerica, MA and then Pharmalucence, Inc. before retiring in 2011.
Jeanne loved to spend time with her family and friends, and she enjoyed traveling. Her most memorable trip was an Alaskan Cruise in 2001.
She had a passion for birds and animals. In fact, she had three African Grey Parrots until she could no longer be at home. Her friend, Sandra, found a wonderful home for Jeanne’s birds in Milford, MA and they adjusted very quickly.
Jeanne is survived by several cousins: Betty and Darrell Simino, Westborough, MA; Bradford Allen, So. Hadley, MA; Bill McMullen, Glen Gardner, NJ; Bruce (Martha) MacMullen, Charles Town, WV; Linda McCabe, Suffield, CT 06078; Susan (Mike) Mantia, Burlington, MA; Sandra (Bill) Dubovich, Spotswood, NJ; Steve (Jeannette) McMullen, East Brunswick, NJ; Peg (George) Cherny, Raleigh, NC; Mary Ann (Michael) Brockelman, Holden, MA; and Henry (Beverly) St. Cyr, Sterling, MA. She is also survived by her 2nd cousin, Amy Louise Blattner (David) and children, Bradford and Jonathan, Shrewsbury, MA; and her 2nd cousin, Andrew Bradford Simino (Cathy) and children, Isabelle and Allison, Franklin, MA; and her very close friends, Sandra DeRienzo and Michael Wilson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael A. Steller, Gynecologic Oncology/Surgeon, Ms. Allison B. Morse, NP, and Dr. Dorcas Chi, Oncology, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton, MA for their valiant effort in trying to make Jeanne well again. We would also like to thank the staff at Keystone Rehabilitation Center in Leominster, MA, for the wonderful care, love, and support they all gave to Jeanne throughout her journey.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 26 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
