Hubbardston- Jeffrey R. Turbide, 69, of Hubbardston, formerly of Leominster, died Saturday, June 26, in his home after a long illness.
Jeffrey was born November 15, 1951, in Leominster, son of the late Raymond and the late Agatina “Aggie” (Salafia) Turbide. Jeffrey graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College earning his Nursing degree after learning his health would make it difficult to continue his work in construction. This led to a fulfilling career at UMass Medical Center as a Neurotrauma ICU Nurse.
Jeffrey put his all into everything he did. As an avid reader, Jeffrey was incredibly knowledgeable. He was avid hunter and primitive archer where he carved his bows out of hickory wood. He also taught himself to play piano and guitar at age 50. Jeffrey loved music, especially the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Donna (Gonelli) Turbide; his daughter, Amanda (Turbide) Stewart and her partner, James Daniels of Fitchburg; two grandchildren, Anthony Stewart and Anastacia Stewart; one great granddaughter, Alaiyah Stewart; four sisters, Karyn Finneron and husband, Barry of West Boylston, Judi Pandiscio and partner, Tommy Leger, Lisa Valeri and husband, Nelson of Leominster and Jane Ehnstrom and husband, Jeff of Otter River; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday, June 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster.
The funeral Mass is Thursday, July 1, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be private.
