Jennifer Mary (Pritchard) Safron 68, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Westminster Ma. after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.
She was born in Fitchburg Mass on November 22, 1957, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Marion C. (Harrington) Pritchard and resided in Leominster since the age of seven. She was a 1975 graduate of Leominster High School and a 1979 graduate of William Woods College in Fulton Missouri with a BS degree in Equestrian Studies.
After graduation she was employed by Smith Field Farms in Lunenburg as a riding instructor. In 1986, she built a tack repair and horse blanket laundering business from her basement after discovering it was a much-needed service in the area, which resulted in her company, Jenn’s Tack & Blanket Service, LLC. In 2012 she moved her business from her basement into her newly acquired warehouse in Gardner Ma, where she added Classic Car Storage services.
Jennifer was an active participant in the local horse club, North County Riding & Driving Club, and did eventing with her two horses for many years. After retiring from horse competitions, she entered her two dachshunds in agility competitions for many years which yielded many championships. She was also active with the local North County Street Rods Classic Car Club with her 1968 Chevelle and participated in many cars shows and drag races along with her husband Joe. As a lifelong alpine skier, she joined the local racing league at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, Ma. In 2021, she was inducted into the Leominster High School Hall of Fame as a member of the 1974 undefeated softball team that went on to compete in the district championship. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, snowmobiling and mountain biking. Her happy place was anywhere outdoors.
Jennifer leaves her husband of 44 yrs, Joe Safron of Westminster, Ma: a sister Linda A. Aschenbrenner and her husband Larry of New York: her sister-in-law Lisa George of Cape Cod, Ma: her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins as well as her beloved dachshund Harley.
She is predeceased by her brothers, James H. Pritchard and Shawn C. Pritchard.
Jennifer will be laid to rest at the Woodside Cemetery, Westminster, MA. Calling hours will be Feb 21,2026, from 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM at Richardson Funeral Home, Leominster, MA, followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM at Williams Restaurant, 181 Pearson Blvd Gardner, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Monadnock Humane Society in Swanzy, New Hampshire.
