LEOMINSTER---Jeremiah L. Fluet, 38 years old, of Leominster died on Sunday, February 5, 2017. He is survived by his mother Elvira C. (Celli) O’Connell and her husband Michael of Leominster, father Robert L. Fluet of Ashby, sister Stephanie M. Fluet, brother Daniel C. Fluet and his wife Michelle, and paternal grandmother Bernadette (Roy) Dufresne, stepbrother Michael O’Connell, and stepsister Lesley O’Connell all of Leominster. He loved his nephew and nieces, Zachary Nutting, Alayna Woodward, Rylie Woodward, Madison Fluet, Zoey Fluet, and Sydney Fluet, to the moon and back. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeremiah “Miah” was born November 4, 1978 in Leominster. He was an exceptional baseball player in his youth, on the mound and at the plate. He enjoyed fishing, billiards, and sharing laughs with his many friends and family. He wore many hats in construction, most recently for Boucher Construction and was experienced in environmental drilling. Jeremiah will be most remembered for his warm and comforting presence, charismatic smile, and heartfelt devotion to those he loved.
Jeremiah was always willing to help his friends and family with whatever was needed. In a crisis, he was there no questions asked. Whether it meant pretending he knew how to install a dishwasher, or standing by patiently in a medical emergency. He cast an extremely wide net of friendship, and the connections he made with others were the kind that last forever. Many have expressed like sentiments of how he made them feel safe with only his proximity. And that he cared more deeply for them, than of himself.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Our Father’s House, Inc., P.O. 7251, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 2-5 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. Funeral service and burial will be private.
