LUNENBURG- Jesse W. Hare, 88, of Lunenburg, passed away Tuesday, July 6, at UMass Medical Center after an illness.
Jesse was born January 10, 1933, son of the late William and the late Catherine (Armstrong) Hare. He graduated from Leominster High School. Jesse retired from Wachusett Potato Chip Company where he was a driver and salesman. He also worked for Hannaford after his retirement. As a child, Jesse attended St. Anna Church and later in life was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
Jesse was an avid sports fan. He loved his dog, Molly, loved being Irish and playing in his garden.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Patricia A. (Kendall) Hare; two sons, Michael Hare and his wife, Tammy of East Sandwich and David Hare and his wife, Rose of Pepperell; one granddaughter, Jessica Brown and husband, Jared of Lunenburg; one great grandchild, Lily Brown; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, William Hare, Jr., Edward Hare and Richard Hare.
Calling hours are Monday, July 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster.
The funeral Mass is Tuesday, July 13, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in South Cemetery in Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Eagle House Senior Center, 25 Memorial Drive, Lunenburg, MA 01462.
