Joan L. (Crowley) Evers

LEOMINSTER --- Joan L. (Crowley) Evers, 78 years old, of Leominster, died Friday, January 5, 2018 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital.

Joan was born December 16, 1939 in Springfield MA. the daughter of Arthur and Clara (Roy) Crowley. She leaves 2 sons, John A. Evers and wife Julie of Cherry Valley MA, Kevin P. Evers and wife Debra of Fitchburg, her daughter, Deborah Ann Evers and husband Carl Edler of Leominster, brother Arthur Crowley of Leominster, 2 sisters, Clara Ann Fraticelli of Leominster and Judy Dustin of Lunenburg, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, John F. Evers in 1994, by her son Michael K. Evers in 1986 and by her sister Patricia Bufton.

Joan or Meme as she was known, graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1958. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Parish in Fitchburg. She worked as an inspector at Eastern State Components, and as a waitress at Landlord Bens (Barbers Crossing), She also worked at General Electric. She enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband, cooking, crocheting, and spending time around the pool with family and friends.

Joan’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster, with an 11am funeral mass in St. Bernard Parish @ St. Camillus De Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg. Burial will be at a later date in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours in the funeral home will precede the funeral from 9am-10:30am
