LEOMINSTER --- John E. "Jack" Hoover, III, 68 passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2022. At his home.
Jack was born May 31, 1954, in Fort Dix NJ, the son of John E. Hoover Jr, and Ursula H. (Kupsch) Hoover and was a longtime Leominster resident.
Jack was self-employed most of his life but started his career as an upholsterer in the Charlton Factory in Fitchburg, MA. He also worked for Sky Cycle of Lunenburg, MA. His self-employment journey began when he established Camaro Classics in Lunenburg. After many years of selling classic cars and parts, and producing car shows at the local Drive-Ins, his business evolved from cars to costumes when he opened Halloween Costume World in Fitchburg. Halloween and Christmas were Jack's favorite holidays and he held holiday events for Toys for Tots in his Leominster home with his daughter Shannon. Upon retiring, Jack continued to stay busy in woodworking and carpentry; very recently completing a facelift at the retail space inside the information center off Rt 2 in Leominster and restoring a park bench that will be donated to his living community and friends.
Jack is predeceased by his parents John and Ursula and his brother Robert (Bob). He leaves behind his son, Shane Hoover, daughter Stacy Ciccolini and her husband Michael, daughter Shannon Hoover, sisters Ursula Leblanc and Monica Hoover LaPrise, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and his partner Kathleen Wallace who he resided with.
The clock is forever ticking onward and time is an accumulation of moments that, if missed, you can never get back. The family asks you to please pause and take a moment to reflect and think about what is important in life and express your love to your family. Tell those you love that you love them and show them you mean what you say.
There will be a private burial held for the family. In lieu of flowers there has been a "Jack Hoover" GoFundMe page set up to help defray burial expenses.
