John Phillip Loiselle, 73, of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home following a brief illness. He was a beloved Pepere, father, partner, and friend whose vibrant spirit and love of laughter will be deeply missed.
Born in Leominster on September 18, 1952 to Norman and Laurette Loiselle, John was one of five children and known from an early age for his adventurous and creative nature. He loved any excuse to bring people together and made sure there was always laughter and a good time to be had. Graduating from St Bernard’s High School in 1970, John became a skilled machinist who spent the majority of his career working for local plastic manufacturing companies. He took pride in building and creating pieces for his family – everything from home projects and rock walls to his detailed wood carvings, especially his signature carved shoes.
When his children were young, John cherished time outdoors with them, filling their days with hiking, fishing, biking, camping, and countless adventures. In later years, his favorite pastimes included dancing, golfing, and meeting up with friends at his local Franco Vets. He also was fond of spending time at his camp in Templeton where he could relax, socialize, and enjoy life. Above all, he loved being Pepere and creating memories with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Linda Williams of Gardner, MA; his four children - Phillip (Katherine) Loiselle of Hebron, CT, Brian Loiselle, Jim (Nikki) Loiselle, and Sarah Loiselle, all of Leominster; five grandchildren – Kaelyn and Harper Loiselle, Benjamin and Olivia Loiselle, and Phoenix Buckley; his sister Claudette (Rob) Tata of Leominster; his brother Joseph Loiselle of Holden; his former wife, Kathleen Loiselle; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Stephen Loiselle, and his sister Michelle Brosseau.
Calling hours will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Leominster on Friday, April 10, from 5:00–7:00 PM. A brief memorial service to celebrate John’s life will take place on Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in John’s memory to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, supporting the compassionate care he received through VNA Care.
