2024, at the age of 76. Born on September 18, 1947, in Woburn, Massachusetts, John's life was a testament to his kindness, intelligence, and loving nature. John was the beloved son of the late Stephen and Jennie Ragucci (Carbone). He was also predeceased by his son Joshua Ragucci and brother Stephen Ragucci. In 1973, John's heart found its match in Marybeth (Armstrong) Ragucci, and they embarked on a journey of love and companionship that would span five decades.
John's academic pursuits led him to the Boston Architectural Center, where he honed his skill and passion for design. His career began at Stone and Webster, a tenure marked by dedication and expertise. John's professional journey evolved as he joined the Medical Facilities Planning Associates (MFPA), where he specialized in medical architecture, leaving a legacy of structures that continue to serve communities and better the lives of those within them. John's life was a rich tapestry woven with love for his family and his interests.
John's legacy continues through his daughter, Jennifer Ragucci, his grandsons, Ryan and Connor Johnson who brought him immeasurable joy and brother Ralph Ragucci. His role as a grandfather was one he cherished deeply, and the lessons and love he imparted will forever resonate in their lives.
A true Bostonian at heart, John was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and he relished the opportunity to watch and celebrate the triumphs of his favorite teams with friends and family. These moments of shared joy and excitement were among the many that illuminated John's life.
John's life was a reflection of his values and the things he held dear. He will be remembered not just for his professional accomplishments, but for the warmth and generosity he extended to everyone he met.
As we bid farewell to John D. Ragucci, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Though he has left this earthly realm, his legacy will remain, etched in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, July 3 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home, with a funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Leominster. Burial will be held at North Cemetery in Lunenburg.
