Joseph DePasquale Obituary

LEOMINSTER---Joseph DePasquale, 62, of Leominster died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester surrounded by family and friends.

Joe was born September 3, 1955 in Leominster to Isabella (Mammone) and John DePasquale. He leaves a daughter Ava and son Lucian of Leominster; his stepson Dillon Womble and his wife Angela of Templeton; his brother John and wife Jessie of West Virginia; his sister Justine and husband Kenneth Parezo of Baltimore, Maryland; his brother James DePasquale of Leominster and many friends, nieces and nephews.

Joe graduated from Leominster High School, class of 1973, and was a proud member of the LHS Football Team. Joe played center field for the 1970 New England Champion Babe Ruth Baseball Team. The team was honored for their achievements with a special ceremony at Fenway Park. Joe was a gifted designer working as Head Design Engineer for United Solutions of Leominster for over 25 years.

Joe loved woodworking, gardening, fly fishing, his beautiful pet dogs and all sports. He was a builder of surfboards of his own design and spent every summer surfing with family and friends at York Beach, Maine. Sitting around a campfire after a day surfing at the beach with a cold beer and telling stories with friends and family was Joe’s idea of a perfect day.

Joe could fix anything and was always generous with his time. He was a master woodworker whose special wooden Christmas presents are cherished by all lucky enough to have them.

Joe was very proud of his children, Ava, Lucian and Dillon. He loved spending time with them, watching their sports and activities and seeing them grow up.

Joe will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, loyalty and honesty. His warm and engaging personality and smile will be missed.

Joe’s funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20th from the Silas F.
