Judith Lorraine Murray (Enman), 81, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at Life Care Center in Leominster, Massachusetts, following a long illness. She was born in Leominster on August 29, 1944, to the late Richard and Bernice (MacQuarrie) Enman.
Judy was an intelligent, caring, and gentle woman whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. She was deeply devoted to her family and took great pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In the 80’s she was a waitress in a handful of local restaurants in Leominster and Sterling. She enjoyed the holidays and any purpose for a family gathering. She enjoyed crafting, making home decor, she was an unbelievable cook.
She is survived by her “most favorite son ever”, Richard “Ricky” Murray of Lunenburg, Massachusetts; her cherished granddaughter, Maia Murray and her fiancé Jeremy Beck; and her two great-grandsons, Jordan and Caleb Beck. She also leaves her siblings: Barbara Shaw (Whit) of Lunenburg; Richard Enman of Fitchburg; Jennifer Kavrakis (Harry) of Southwick; and Jill Adams (James) of Westfield, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Leominster High School in 1962 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a minor in Education, from Worcester State College in 1966. She dedicated 30 years of her life to teaching English at Gardner Middle School, where she was admired and loved by her students and respected by her colleagues for her passion, patience, and commitment to education.
Upon her retirement in 2004, Judy was honored by the Gardner School District for “Excellence in Teaching English,” a recognition that reflected her lifelong dedication to learning and her profound impact on generations of students.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Judy’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
