Julia Mason Obituary

Leominster – Julia (McBreen) Mason, 79, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2022. With a deep faith in God and Jesus, she is resting in peace.

Julie, as she was known by all, was born and grew up in Concord, MA. A proud and loving mom, she raised her family in Stow, MA. Cooking meals, taking care of her family and making holidays special were very important to her. She was always great at household repairs, in particular painting and plumbing, and she found harmony in regularly watering her lawn. As her kids grew up, she could always be found at school activities and sporting events – cheering loudly – from elementary school, high school and beyond. She was well known as ‘Mom Mason’ to many of her kid’s friends.

It was easy to see that Julie loved children and animals. Her pets were spoiled, including Amy, Jessie and Misty over the years. Making her career as a school bus driver, she took great pride in this part of her life. She would stop the bus to point out wildlife and took time to know each student. Many, as adults now, share fond memories of Julie driving them to school.

Later in life, Julie moved to Leominster. While retired, she didn’t slow down. She enjoyed travelling, dancing and going to the beach, where “Salt water will cure it.”  Country music was her favorite and she could be often caught dancing away to it in her living room – even without an audience. She was always a straight shooter – telling you how she saw it.

Even though she loved cooking, she refused to try new and different foods, because she was sure she wouldn’t like them. But did she have a sweet tooth - donuts, pies and ice cream were her favorites.

She leaves her daughter Kelli Cullen and her husband Kris of Leominster, and her son William Mason of Davenport, FL.
