June M. (Yore) Martineau

In loving memory of our mother. June M. Martineau (Yore) of Leominster, MA, born March 9, 1933, to parents John and Ann Yore of Cambridge passed away peacefully on the evening of February 16, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of Normand, and loving mother of 5 daughters; Sharon Feltri and her husband Paul of Westford, Denise Careau and her husband Michael of Leominster, Jane Kianfar and her husband Kian of Framingham, Kathy Oslowski and her husband Mark of Winchendon,

Gail Beygleman and her husband Michael of Merrimack, NH, and son David Martineau of Leominster. June is also survived by her 2 sisters Kathy DeFrancisco and her husband Tony and Lorraine Wilson and her husband Willy, as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

June loved anything to do with Ireland and her Irish heritage including telling stories of her old neighborhood and her adventures growing up in Boston/Cambridge. (…before moving out to the “sticks of Leominster.”) She enjoyed dancing, traveling, card nights with friends, sewing outfits for the kids, long rides to new and interesting places, spending time with the girls at the beach or shopping, relaxing outside in warmer months with her flowers and fairy garden, or inside with her winter village. She REALLY loved being surprised with scratch tickets or spending some quality time in front of a slot machine.

Our mother was an amazing, kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of our family before her own. She was a strong woman who bravely faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Family came first and was a value she instilled in all those around her. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

June`s funeral will be held on Friday, February 23, from the Richardson Funeral Home 106 West St. Leominster MA, with a funeral mass at 11am at St Cecilia Church, 180 Mechanic St. Leominster MA. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday evening February 22, from 5-7pm. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
