June A. Schofield, 80 years old of Leominster died Friday, April 2, 2021 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
June was born June 5, 1940 in Leominster, MA, daughter of the late Jesse and the late Edith (Robbins) Hare. She graduated from Leominster High School class of 1958. June worked for the Leominster Public Schools for 25 years. She retired as cafeteria manager of Leominster High School in 2007.
She is survived by her children, Charles Jr. and his wife Becky of Clinton, ME , Brian and his wife Samira of Naples, FL and Linda Williams and her husband Richard of Leominster, MA, She leaves six grandsons Andrew, Timothy, Patrick, Joshua, Daniel and Matthew, her granddaughter Mairead and her 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jesse “Skip” Hare and his wife Jeanne, her brother-in-law Wayne Schofield and his wife Patricia, her sister-in-law Betty Schofield and many special nieces and nephews.
June’s greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends. Her homes in Leominster and Old Orchard Beach, Maine were places that made you feel comfortable and welcomed. Her joy of cooking and entertaining created memories that for those who were fortunate enough to have enjoyed them will treasure them. She was a “forever friend” to so many that came to know her; it was just her way. June and her husband Charlie enjoyed going to the casino, going on cruises with their friends, relaxing at the beach and being with their family. Her grandchildren will cherish their “special day” with Gram on their birthday weekend.
June was greeted with open arms by her husband Charlie, sisters Edith Hare and Sandra Luongo, sister-in-law Nancy Schofield, and her grandson Todd.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster.
The funeral is private.
