Kenneth Hildreth, Jr. Obituary

Kenneth Edward Hildreth Jr., affectionately known as Kenny to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 15, 1941, in Leominster, the town he loved and never left, Kenny's life was a testament to his selfless, gentle, and loving nature.

Kenny was a proud Army veteran who served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he dedicated many years to Digital and Plastican, where his work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who knew him. Kenny's hands were rarely still, for he was a true craftsman who found joy and purpose in creating and fixing things with meticulous care.

Family was the cornerstone of Kenny's life. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Madeline Hildreth, whose memory he cherished until his last day. Together, they raised a son and a daughter who were the pride of his life: Michael J. Hildreth and his wife Amy, and Ellen Hildreth and her significant other Dale Remy. Kenny's legacy continued to grow with his beloved granddaughter Lauren Hildreth, her fiancé Zachary Forbes, and their two children and his grandson Michael A. Hildreth, his wife Lisa, and their child.

Kenny's siblings held a special place in his heart. He is survived by his brother James Hildreth and his wife Elaine, his brother Richard Hildreth and his wife Donna, and his sister Joann Hildreth-Daniels. He was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia McDermott. The bond he shared with his siblings was one of mutual respect and affection, and their memories together will be cherished by all.

Kenny's extended family was vast, including many cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom felt his impact in their lives. He also leaves many friends including lifelong friend Eddie Sargent and wife Rachel. His gentle spirit and loving nature were a beacon of warmth and kindness that radiated throughout the family.

Spending time with his family was Kenny's greatest pleasure. He was a fixture at family gatherings, where his quiet presence offered a sense of calm. To know Kenny was to know a man who lived his life with an open heart and open hands, always ready to help, always ready to quietly love. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.

Kenneth Edward Hildreth Jr.'s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of duty, love, and kindness. As we say farewell to Kenny, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life that exemplified the best of what it means to be human. May he rest in peace in the town where he was born, lived, and loved.
