Kenneth W. Newton

LEOMINSTER---Kenneth W. Newton, 81 years old, of Leominster died unexpectedly Thursday, November 23, 2017 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Gail D. (Hebert) Newton; daughter Robin M. Morand and her husband Stephen of Gilford, NH; 2 sons Kenneth D. Newton and his wife Joan of Leominster and Richard C. Newton and his wife Lily of Leominster: a brother David Newton of Gardner; a sister Joan Gopfert of Middleboro; 5 grandchildren Joshua Newton and his wife Elizabeth, Jayson Newton, Katelynn Newton, Autumn Newton and Zachary Newton; 2 great grandsons Cameron and Dallas; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and his dog Maggie Mae.

Ken was born April 15, 1936 in Fitchburg, son of Alfred and Palma (Christofono) Newton and had lived in Leominster most of his life. He attended Leominster Saxton Trade High School and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Ken had worked for many years as a foreman in the sunglass division of the former Foster Grant Company in Leominster. He then worked for over 10 years as a custodian in the Leominster Public Schools. Ken had been a member o the Leominster Eagles.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11 am in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster.
