LEOMINSTER ----- Kevin J. Miller, 57, of Leominster, MA, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Kevin, the son of Walter and Peggy (Curran) Miller was born in Boston on September 15, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife Sue, of 34 years; Daughters Casey (Janerico) Prescott (Kevin) of Reading, MA and Catherine Miller of Leominster, MA. His siblings Jim (Renee) Miller of Alton, NH; Peggy (Dan) Mattix of Londonderry, Nova Scotia; Stephen (Pep) Miller of Riverside, Ohio; Scott Miller of Riverview, FL; Grandchildren Jack, Wyatt, Cora, Aiden, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both of his parents and niece Callie Miller.
Kevin grew up in Framingham and graduated from Holliston High School. Following high school, he joined the Air Force and served until 1982. Kevin was a resident of Leominster since 1983, where he raised his family. He was employed in many fields which included two of his father’s businesses, Aqua Kleen and Brockton Equipment/Spilldam; the local YMCA; Truck driver; plant health care technician where he became an Arborist; and most recently, as a bus driver for Fox Bus - Logan Express, where Kevin was known as the driver who had the “riddle of the day”. Kevin loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping with his family. In his early years, he was a member of The Boy Scouts of America, and later in life he became a member of Toastmasters and then of the Charles W. Moore Masonic Lodge of Fitchburg, MA. Kevin loved music, and was particularly fond of Bruce Springsteen. Kevin played a number of instruments throughout his life, and he was gifted with a wonderful sense of humor. His compassion and loving ways were felt by all those who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.
Calling hours are Wednesday February. 28th from 5pm – 7pm at the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 11 am. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Leominster.
