Laura Yvonne passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA after a sudden and swift battle with lung cancer.
Born on September 14, 1984, in Derry, NH, she was the daughter of Susan (Rochette) Steinbrecher and the late Rejean Doucette.
Besides her mother, whom she credited often with her need to care for others, she leaves behind her common husband, Jim Gagne, her two sons, Bradley Albert and Braiden Gagne whom she lived with; her siblings, Scott (Candis) Doucette of Lunenburg, Amanda (Jeff) Maxwell of Ashby, Ceana Steinbrecher of Leominster, and her stepbrother Keith Merrill of Garden City, GA; her grandmother, Theresa (Beaudet) Rochette of Ellenton, FL; and her bonus son, Jordan Smith whom she loved and treated as one of her own.
Laura also leaves her two nieces, Aowynn Maxwell and Gracie Doucette; nephews, Dylan and James Gravelle, Jaxon Merrill; sister-in-law, Melanie Gagne, brother in-law, Marc Gravelle; her in-laws, Lee and Deb Gagne; several aunts, uncles and cousins around the US and Canada.
She was predeceased by the man who taught her everything handy and who she always credited, her grandfather, Robert Rochette Sr. Laura leaves a multitude of friends especially Andrea (Steven) Jones, Mikey and Jene Beaudoin, Danny and Jess Senee, Gary Russell and Judy Gallant.
Laura had a love for all animals and never could walk away from any lost or injured one. She had a special love for her dog Koda and her cats Ringo and Mocha.
She worked at Independent Resources until her cancer diagnosis for over ten years and formed close bonds with some of her clients whom she cared for and were more like family.
Laura was a force to know, she was strong-willed, independent, funny, caring and always looked out for the ones she loved with a generous heart. She never wanted to inconvenience anyone. Her boys were her life and her focus. Laura was a fierce cheerleader for her sons while here and will be a fierce Guardian Angel for them above. Her Earthly departure leaves a hole in so many that will never be refilled. “I’ll Like you for Always, I’ll Love you Forever, as long as I’m living...”
