Laurence E. Record, 86, of Lancaster died Wednesday, July 20.
He was born December 27, 1935 in Buxton, Maine son of the late Fred Record and Edith Andrews Record. He was married to Nancy Morse Record. He lived and grew up in Lancaster, living in the same home for over 60 years. He attended Lancaster High School. He then worked for Van Brode Company in Clinton for many years. From there, he retired from the town of Harvard highway department.
In his spare time, he loved to buy and rebuild old tractors. Growing up, he always helped neighborhood farmers, whether stacking hay bales or mowing their fields. Most recently, he enjoyed napping with his beloved dog, Tonka.
He was predeceased by Helen Papadopoulos Record, wife of 36 years and James L. Record, son.
Besides his wife, Nancy, he leaves his sons, Michael A. Record of Templeton and Anthony Record and his wife Jennifer of Clinton; daughters, Valerie H. Bailey and husband David of Manchester, NH, Susan L. Record of Bangor, ME, Nancy Catterton and her husband James of Leominster, Pamela A. Nakashian and her husband Serge of Leominster and Emily Record of Gibsonton, FL; 17 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial had been planned by the family.
