It is with great sadness her family announces the passing of Leona Lanteigne, 87, into eternal rest on September 2, 2023.
Leona lived a long life filled with love and giving. She loved family and friends. Though she never had children she treated her brothers David and Brian as hers with her love.
Leona was pre-deceased by her husband Gus, her mother Rose (Lafountain) Poissant, father Léon V. Poissant, brothers Léon and his wife Lois and brother Roland.
Survived by family, sister-in-law Nancy Poissant (wife of Roland) and her 3 children and grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, Rev David W. and wife Mary Beth (Metcalf) Poissant, from PA. and their four children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, Brian and Donna (Foster) Poissant, from Barre, Ma and their 2 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews from her deceased brother Leon.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 14 at 11:00 A.M., the family will receive visitors prior at St. Leo Parish, 108 Main St., Leominster. A burial will follow at the MA. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon, MA.
