Leroy D. Seymour, known affectionately as Lee to his friends and family, left this world on June 26, 2024, at the age of 86, in the comfort of his home in Clinton, MA. Born on October 27, 1937, in Newton, MA, he was a son of the late Graham and Barbara Seymour. Alongside his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laurel M. Seymour, his daughters Linda and Lynne Robin, and his brother Roger Seymour.
Lee was a hard working family man at heart, whose legacy is carried on by his children: daughter Lisa Jameson and her husband Scott of Windsor Locks, CT, son Leroy, son Lloyd Seymour and Lloyd's wife Cheryl of Leominster, MA, son Larry Seymour and his wife Dorothy of Panama, and daughter Lynne Ercolini and her husband John of Lancaster, MA. His sister Gail Babb and her husband Tom of Stow, MA also survive him. He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren and adored by his seventeen great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews, all brought immense joy and laughter to his life.
A proud graduate of his local high school, Lee's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the respected businessman and owner of Mass Machine Works, Inc. Under his leadership, the company flourished, and he was recognized for his integrity and dedication in the industry. Lee's professional life was marked by the same generosity and commitment he showed in his personal relationships.
Lee's passion for life was evident in his diverse interests. An avid aviator, he found solace in the skies, piloting his airplane across the country. He shared this love with his family, often taking them on flying adventures and teaching his sons to fly model airplanes. Traveling and sailing were among his favorite pursuits, feeding his adventurous spirit and love of the sea. Lee's taste in music was as timeless as his personality, with a fondness for classical melodies and the nostalgic tunes of oldies music.
Known for his love of dancing and entertaining, Lee's home was often filled with music, laughter, and dance. He was the life of every gathering, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy that drew people to him. His generosity extended beyond his family and friends, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand or support a worthy cause.
Those who knew Lee would describe him as a loving father, an adventurous spirit, and a generous soul. His life was a testament to the power of positivity and the impact one individual can have on the lives of many. Lee Seymour lived a life that was full, not just in years, but in meaningful experiences and lasting relationships.
As we bid farewell to a man of such character and zest, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Lee's laughter, wisdom, and boundless love remain a beacon for all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished and celebrated by his family and all who were touched by his remarkable life.
The Seymour family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have been a part of Lee's journey. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of those he loved and by the many whose lives he enriched with his presence. Lee D. Seymour will be profoundly missed.
