Obituary

Leominster- Linda C. (Tierney) Boyd, 77, of Leominster, died Saturday, April 16, after an illness.

Linda was born April 28, 1944, in Salem, MA, daughter of the late George A. and the late Gladys L. (Bohanon) Tierney. She graduated from Salem High School in 1962. Linda worked for the Leominster school system for many years. She took great pride in teaching children to read and was attuned to those less fortunate who needed some extra love and care. Her nature was caring and selfless and had the gift of bringing smiles to others even when she at times was suffering herself. She will be remembered as loving, loyal, enthusiastic and positive.

She leaves her son, Dwayne Boyd; two grandchildren, Sage Ezra Korins-Boyd and Noa Sky Korins-Boyd; her former husband, Wayne T. Boyd one brother, Paul Tierney and his wife Dolores; sister-in-law, Alice Tierney; many nephews and cousins.

Linda was predeceased by her brother Bob Tierney.


Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 30, from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster.
