Linda J. (Morlock) Maker

Linda Joyce (Morlock) Maker, 76, passed away in Leominster, MA on September 28, 2023 with her family by her side after a short battle with Stage 4 cancer.

She was born on April 19, 1947 in Gardner, MA and raised in Winchendon, MA where she attended Murdock High School before graduating from beauty school as a licensed hairdresser. An entrepreneur at heart, she broke barriers by owning her own hair salon business at a time when that wasn’t something women did. Later in life, her compassion for others inspired her to become a caretaker for people with mental and cognitive disabilities.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Maker, her brother Peter Morlock, her sisters Nancy Martin and Shirley Sweet, and her parents Caroline and Charles Morlock.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Kia Street of San Diego, CA, her daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Corey Herold of Leominster, her brother, Bruce Morlock of Fitchburg, MA and many more close friends and extended relatives.

A funeral service will be held on October 6, 2023 at 2 P.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon, MA.
