Louis H. Asmar

LEOMINSTER---Louis H. Asmar of Leominster, died from complications of Alzheimer’s at home under the loving care of his wife Kathy and the assistance of hospice on Monday May 29, 2023.

He was born July 14,1953 in Gardner, MA the son of Louis H Asmar Sr, and Mae (Kowkabany) Asmar. He graduated from Gardner High School in the Class of 1972, and from U Mass Amherst with a Bachelors Degree in computer science. He retired from Oracle in Bedford, MA in 2013. He enjoyed golf, was an avid sports fan who loved vintage cars, enjoyed gardening and had a good sense of humor.

He leaves his wife Kathy of 21 years, his son Joshua Asmar of Leominster, his son Christopher Asmar who pre-deceased him in 2013, his sister Bunny and brother-in-law Kenneth Kreiser of South Yarmouth, his sister Louise and brother-in-law Duane Hotaling of Leominster and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lou’s funeral will be held on Monday June 5th from the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West St Leominster with an 10 AM Mass in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St. Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday June 4th from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
