Louis P. Tortorella III

Louis (Louie) P. Tortorella III of Leominster, MA passed away on May 17th, 2023 due to medical complications at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster. Louis was born on April 19, 1978 to Terri Tortorella (Buckley) and Louis P. Tortorella Jr. at Fort Lewis Military base in Tacoma, Washington.

Louis leaves behind the love of his life, best friend, soulmate and wife Darcie Tortorella, his three daughters Korina, Gianna and Gemma Tortorella and two stepchildren, Olivia and Chase Hause, his mother Terri, sister Amy Tortorella, niece and nephew, Daijah and Elijah Beauregard, three granddaughters Kaori, Imari and Theory, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Louis was predeceased by his father Louis P. Tortorella Jr. in 2006.

Louis worked in construction most of his life, most recently working for PJD Construction.  He was also a self-taught finish carpenter which he took much pride in.

Louis loved his family with all his heart. He was best known for his loud Italian personality and never failed to make anyone smile and laugh. He was down to earth and spoke his mind which many people loved about him. His 7-year-old daughter Gemma’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her Dad, playing video games, acting goofy, and making funny videos together. Louis was very passionate about fishing, spending time with his family and was always excited for planning summer barbecues, listening to country music, and showing off his firework display. He always made sure to take personal time to spend with his wife in Vermont and Maine every year, who he adored and referred to as his angel. 

Louis has been fighting his battle with Crohn's disease since he was 12 years old and in recent years, began suffering from Interstitial Lung disease and fought for his life with everything he had in him. Louis will be missed by all who got the opportunity to get to know him. He will forever live in the hearts of his children and family and they will continue to honor his memory for the rest of their lives. 

Family and friends will gather at Richardson Funeral Home to honor and remember Louis for a Celebration of Life on Monday, June 5 at 11:00 am.
