Lucille Mammone Obituary

Leominster – Lucille T. Mammone, 90 years of age of Lunenburg and formerly of Leominster passed away on March 5, 2016 after a recent illness. Lucille was born in Leominster on June 10, 1925, the daughter of Philip and Yvonne (Leclerc) Patry and attended Leominster High School. She was a member of Saint Anna's Church in Leominster.

Lucille's husband of 53 years, John D. Mammone pre-deceased her on January 29, 1999. She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Sheila Larkin and her husband James of Lunenburg, Nancy Courtney and her husband Kevin of Greenfield, Lisa Coakley and her husband Leonard of South Dennis, Cheryl Rohlicek and her husband Robin of Watertown, her brother, Joseph Leon Patry of Milton, VT,, her beloved seven grandchildren, Darrell Maki, Erin and Allison Courtney, Benjamin Coakley, Gregory and Christopher Rohlicek and Katy Cirrone, nephews and nieces, and by her lifelong best friend, Jeannette Bilotta. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert Sergerie and Paul A. Patry.

Lucille was a wonderful and devoted Mother and role-model for her four daughters. As Grammy, she loved her grandchildren and was very proud of each of them and their many accomplishments. Lucille loved her family life and was an exceptionally good Italian cook, especially for her famous meatballs and antipasto. Lucille was a 50-year member of the Tuesday Ladies Card Club. Playing New York Rummy was her favorite, and competing with her good friends, Jeanie, Josie, Bunny and Connie was the highlight of every week. Winning was her goal. Lucille was an avid bowler with the Ladies Club as well.

Lucille and John enjoyed spending time with their family and friends and welcomed them all to many memorable summer cookouts at their nicely landscaped backyard in-ground swimming pool. They sponsored many Mammone Family reunions over the years to the delight of all. It brought them both great pleasure to see happy gatherings at their home throughout the years. Lucille will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. There are no calling hours. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
