M. Davis “Dave” Clark, IV, 47, formerly of Shirley, passed away Sunday, August 15.
Dave was born December 17, 1973 in Fitchburg, son of Cindie (Green) Jarrett and the late M. Davis “Rocky” Clark, III and lived in Shirley at his family homestead for many years. He graduated from Lunenburg High School and attended the Funeral Institute of the Northeast. At a young age, Dave knew he wanted to be a funeral director. He was passionate about funeral service. He worked for several area funeral homes including Putnam, Graham & Mahoney Funeral Home in Worcester.
He was passionate about the railroad in which three consecutive generations of his family worked, assembling models, Crown Victorias, classic television shows, York Beach and of course Star Wars and Superman. He could have lived off Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. Dave had a quirky and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor. He enjoyed the simple things in life like mowing the lawn at the family estate.
Besides his mother, Cindie, he leaves his children, Christian, Rachel, Amber and Victoria; his granddaughters, Adriya and Leia; his wonder twin, Melissa Roy-Clark; his brother, Daniel; his nephew, Austin; His best friend and “brother”, Jim Mayou; several aunts and uncles including, Steve Clark and wife, Diane; his “2nd father”, Bernie Buckley; his “2nd mom”, Marilyn Gaughan.
